Crab Con is an international annual hermit crab convention for land hermit crab enthusiasts. The first and only of its kind!
The first Crab Con was held July 2019 in Lockport NY to celebrate a huge break through in captive breeding. Hatched and raised in captivity at Hermit House, over 200 baby Coenobita clypeatus were placed for adoption in our community. The adopters came from all over the United States to Crab Con to pick up their new babies and to attend the numerous presentations and to shop with the vendors.
In 2020 Crab Con went virtual. The virtual conference was a huge success and allowed international speakers, vendors and attendees to participate.
The conference features main stage presentations, live sessions, exclusive shopping with premium vendors, giveaways and of course socializing with other hermit crab hobbyists.
Crab Con is a joint effort between Hermit House and the Land Hermit Crab Owners Society.
